Mellow Yellow
My work schedule's been tweaked a bit, which means that I've got and extra hour in the morning on Friday! What does this mean? Outdoor outfit pics (and fresh hair and makeup)!
I've had these yellow suede pumps for ages, but only wore them once due to how dirty they got when I first wore them. They've been giving me the eye from my closet, silently begging to be worn, so when my eyes landed on this printed top this morning I knew it was time to whip 'em out, wipe 'em down as best I could, and rock those bad boys - and I'm so glad I did! I think they really give this outfit that little something special and unexpected. Also, can I tell you guys how comfy they are?? No joke!
You've seen this top before here, and I mentioned how the silky material would keep causing my cardi to slide out of place. Well, that still held true today when I paired it with my favorite stolen-from-mom gold-buttoned cardi, so I decided to remedy that and save myself some frustration by safety pinning the cardi to the top. I used the teeeeny tiny little pins that come on ASOS tags, and they're hidden perfectly by the ruffle on top. Problem solved!
Bottom line, I am really loving this outfit (though I wish the pics had better lighting), it may be my favorite of the year so far. I feel super sophisticated and chic! :)

The fact that you can get all of these gorgeous, on-trend dresses in almost any size, (they've expanded many looks to include 4-6x!) is one of the main reasons I love eShakti so much.
#1, the felted wool scallop hemmed dress, is one that's been on my radar for ages; I was torn between that one and the gold fish dress when I was picking out my dress to review. It's such a simple and classic silhouette, and the fabric looks so rich. I love the leather-look ribbing on the sleeve and the girlish touch of the hem. And how cute is #3, with the sheer sweetheart neckline and tulip bottom!
For summer, #4, the blue corset style dress would work for so many different occasions, and who can resisted the subtle sex appeal of the bustier-look top? I'm not one to wear strapless, but if I could, #8, the blue strapless dress, would be mine in a second! So easy to dress up or down with the right accessories!

eShakti does such beautiful prints, and I'm in love with all four of the dresses in the 'Printed' section. I can already see myself in #9 with a green cardigan and brown belt and heels, and the red print is the perfect double duty dress - to work with a cardigan, and then wear it bare armed for a summer night. I'm dying to order again, and it's going to be a real battle to decide which dress I want!

Fluffy stuff!
Well! It's been a lovely few days of jewelry pictures, but I think it's time to get back in the Ootd groove!
The outfit itself is not anything fancy shmancy, but when I woke up to a sparkly blanket of snow and some extra time before work yesterday, I had to get out there and take some outfit pics in the fluffy stuff :) You're loving the polka dot boots, right? Thanks, mom!
I do love this sweater though, mostly for the pretty collar. It can stretch out and be worn over the shoulders for more of a boatneck look, but I prefer to let it dangle around my neck like a scarf. My accessories for the day (excuse the scaly hands, it was cold out there!) - My new favorite broken glass cuff, and a necklace and ring from ASOS.

Local Treasures - CatMooreDesign....and Giveaway!
Today's piece from CatMooreDesign is the last in this series of Local Treasures, and the most appropriate, in my opinion, for this time of year.
Behold, the Cupid's Heart Knotted Necklace! Besides being gorgeous in general, it's just so perfect to give or receive as a gift for Valentine's Day (this is the part when you send this link to your significant other with the subject line "HINT HINT!")!
I fell in love with this necklace the moment I saw it - there's just something about the big nugget stones that made me catch my breath. I love how organic they are; all different sizes, some perfectly clear, some a little cloudy, and the weight of them when you put this on just feels so rich and luxurious. Of course, Cat included the matching earrings for me, which I adore. The pretty little stones, just as organic looking as their larger counterparts, on the delicate gold chains of different lengths are the perfect compliment to this statement piece.
This wouldn't be a CatMooreDesign if there wasn't something interesting going on with the clasp. True to form, the Cupid necklace has this beautiful heart toggle clasp that you can wear in the back, or as I prefer it, on display in the front. I do wish that the necklace was a little longer, but that's the beauty of handmade jewelry - most designers are able to do customizations since they're making the pieces themselves.

Local Treasures - CatMooreDesign
Big statement necklaces aren't the only thing Cat of CatMooreDesigns can do. Here are two of her daintier pieces, which would be perfect when you're looking to compliment to a chic and sophisticated outfit.
This is the Venetian Glass Wire Wrapped Copper Princess necklace. Cat used vintage venetian glass beads and draped copper chains to create this pretty piece, which I think has a very Victorian, regal feel to it.
Here's another dainty little necklace that I just adore.
This is the Gold Filled Gilded Garnet necklace. It has such an organic yet feminine look, I love the wire wrapped top, and the delicate gold chain completes the look. Again, special little detail at the clasp - these tiny textured gold beads are so pretty that I will there were more of them!

Local Treasures - CatMooreDesign
Another day, another beautiful piece to show you all from Cat of CatMooreDesign. This is one of my favorites of all the pieces Cat lent me.
This is the Chunky Crystal Quartz Wire Wrapped Necklace.
I mean, really. Need I say more? Blue. Gold. Crystal. CHAIN! Oh, Cat. You had me at hello!
Oh, the chain. The chunkiness of it is such a nice contrast to the femininity of the beautiful drop crystals in two shades of blue. And again, such pretty touches with the crystals at the clasp - I love special details like this because they're like an extra little surprise that no one but you will really see - like having a bright, colorful lining on the inside of a bag or lining a jacket.
And matching earrings for this one as well!
