"What size are you? I am only asking for reference, so I will know if I can pull off some of the looks you look so fab in."

You Asked...

I am so behind on my Formspring! Here are a few of the questions you guys asked in the past month or so...
"I love the way you dress its inspiring but I am a shorter woman, I'm wondering how tall are you?"
I'm 5'5! If you're feeling a little stubby in your clothes, my best suggestion: wear a heel. Even an inch or two will lengthen your legs and give the illusion of height :)
"Hi Ariana! First of all, I love, love your blog! I wanted to know where you got your patterned tights in the Instagram pic below. I am a plus size girl and I am having trouble finding cute tights in my size. Thanks! Michelle W."
Thanks, Michelle! I got those tights off Amazon! They're Hue, and they come in a size 4 or L/XL, which should fit up to 6'0 and 250lbs. Target also has some great tights in plus sizes, I recently got some great colors in 1X/2X.
"Hey where did you get the dress in pic 4 (Unblogged 11/11)?"
The dress is from Target! I don't think it's available anymore unfortunately :( You might find it on a sale or clearance rack though if you really dig!
"How do you stay motivated to dress nice every day? I do good for awhile then get tired of it. Do you plan outfits ahead?"
I don't everyday, trust me! I definitely have lots of days where I wish more than anything I can go to work in sweats, but I've learned that you can look put together without much work - many a work day outfit is simply jeans, a top, flats or boots and a cardigan, but simple things like wearing bright colors or adding a great necklace or arm full of bangles can take your look from lazy day clothes to an "outfit". The biggest reason why I dress the way I do though, is how it makes me feel. When I'm wearing an outfit I love I feel confident, happy and beautiful!

Sometimes I plan outfits ahead, but not often. What I do like to do is group pieces that I think would look good together in the front of my closet. For example, I'll put a cardigan with a few different tops it would work with, or a top and a few different bottoms. That way, when I'm standing there in the morning trying to figure out what to wear I have a some options I can reach for depending on how I'm feeling that day.
"I know you have done posts on bras before but I can only remember that you mentioned wearing Wacoal. Any suggestions for extended size (F cup+) bras that the underwires don't dig in to the ribcage? Or wireless that don't give uniboob? Thanks!!!"
To be quite honest, I don't wear anything BUT Wacoal. No other brand that I've tried gives me as much support and comfort. I have been wearing the Wacoal Elegance Hidden Underwire Bra for YEARS now and have never looked back. In my opinion, there is no better fitting, more flattering, or more comfortable bra for everyday wear than this one. It is expensive to be sure, but for the quality of the product I think it's worth it!

As for wireless, with the exception of my sports bra I haven't worn a wireless bra in years!

You asked...

I answered!

If you had to choose between Forever 21 and Torrid, which would you choose and why?

I'd definitely choose Forever21! I love that because of their great prices, I can try out trends without breaking the bank. They're always coming out with pretty dresses I can't resist, and it's a great place for funky accessories :)

What do you think the fall trends will be? I'm pretty much done with my summer shopping and I was trying to find some fall pieces early.

I think a lot of the things we're seeing this summer are going to translate very well into fall. Stripes for one, I can see still being a big trend. I myself have bought a few pieces including a blazer, and I plan to rock them into winter!

Neutrals are another trend I think will continue into the cold weather. Taupes, soft pinks, tans, greys, especially in sheer, flowy, feminine fabrics.

Fall for me is all about rich colors and fabrics. Switch it up with some colored bottoms in a deep jewel tone!

Formspring questions

"Hey Girl, love your blog! It's refreshing to see fashionista bloggers who have curves! Anyway, was wondering where you bra shop? I'm pretty well-endowed as well (38G), and have SUCH a difficult time finding good bras (and swimsuits!!) Any tips?"

I feel you!!! Bra and swimsuit shopping has always been the bane of my existence. A few years ago I went WOB Lingerie, a boutique near me and got professionally measured for a good bra. Turned out I'm also a 38G! They recommended the Wacoal Elegance Hidden Underwire Bra. I've been wearing this bra style for YEARS now and have never looked back. In my opinion, there is no better fitting, more flattering, or more comfortable bra for everyday wear than this one.  Yes, it's on the more expensive side, but for something you'll wear constantly it's worth the price.  Check it out here (some colors are on sale too, score!)

I've had good luck with swimsuits at Land's End this year. I purchased the Plus Size Beach Living Sweetheart Tunic Swimsuit Top in the 20W and it fits great and is very comfortable and supportive in the bust and it had underwire. And I love the little ruffle on the bottom! Same goes for the Plus Size Beach Living Dot Scoop Tankini Swimsuit Top. I bought it in the navy polka dot along with the solid navy Plus Size Beach Living Shirred Mini SwimMini. Hope this helps!

Formspring questions

I'm so excited that a few of you have started asking questions on my Formspring! Here are two that I received recently...

"Im a girl that doesnt have much of a fashion sence or much money, what staples do I need and how do I put outfits together?"

Well, in my opinion, some staples every girl should have in her closet are:

A great pair of jeans
A curve skimming pencil skirt
A pair of wide-leg trousers
A pair of black pumps
A v-neck white tee
A fitted blazer
A pair of metallic flats
A little black dress
A few signature pieces of jewelry - a necklace, a watch, a ring, a pair of earrings

These for me are the very very basic foundations of any wardrobe. They can be remixed endlessly as you add more and more pieces to your collection. A white tee can be paired with any of your bottoms, layered under a dress, under a blazer, and can be dressed up or down with accessories. Same with a blazer, it can dress up a pair of jeans or take you to the office when it's paired with a skirt or over a dress. Once you've got the basics, it's just a matter of adding pieces that express your personality!

For the girl on a budget, I definitely recommend checking out Forever21. Funky and very affordable, they have tons and tons of options in straight and plus sizes that will help you find your style!

"Hi Ariana, I'm loving all your outfits! Just wondering if you could give me a bit of guidance... I want to buy the Target dress in today's post. I wear a 14/16 (16 in jeans) at Lane Bryant -- any idea what size I should order from Target? M?"

Hi! So, the waist of the dress is elastic and the skirt is very free, so you should consider your bust most when you're ordering this dress. My bust is 47" and the XXL fits me perfectly with no gaping or hanging. If your bust is average I'd say XL would be great for you, or even a L if your bust is smaller!
