Start fresh

BeFunky
Get the look: Blazer (similar) and boots (similar): Nordstrom Rack. Jeggings: Old Navy. Top: Guinness Storehouse, Ireland.

It's that time of year when everyone is looking for new beginnings. I've got some new beginnings of my own - a new semester of school, a new haircut, and of course tons of new clothes from over the holiday season. I'm the queen of buying for myself as much, if not more, than for other people while gift shopping. Who can blame me, everything is on sale during the holiday season! And the only thing that beats holiday sales? Post holiday sales :D I may as well have stolen these gorgeous suede Sofft boots from Nordstrom Rack last week - I got them on clearance for $40! Now that is what I call a bargain. If you're in the market for the latest womens designer clothes for a steal, check out Morgan Clare's giant blowout sale! Another great site to check out for ladies designer clothing is My-Wardrobe.com. They've got clothes, bags and accessories from every designer from Michael Kors, to Burberry, to Vivienne Westwood!

Crisp and clean

IMG_7804IMG_7817IMG_7809IMG_7800IMG_7821

I'm feeling a little déjà vu in this printed top with black bottoms and a white jacket - it's almost identical to an outfit I wore in early June of last year, but I like the proportions of this version much better!

Old Navy treated me very, very well this week. On Tuesday Jennifer and I went to browse around the mall, and this white denim jacket and pair of black Rockstar Jeggings are two of the pieces I picked up. I love them alone, I love them together! The pants are going to be my go-to pair this spring and summer, now that my black Michael Kors ankle pants are too big. And the white jacket is the perfect topper for so many outfits! I picked up a gorgeous maxi dress as well that's going to look so cute with it :) For reference, I'm wearing a Large as I like a snug fit.

Whoever said that curvy girls shouldn't wear skinny jeans is absolutely out of their goddamn mind. To be quite frank, I love the way my legs and curves look in the very skinniest of skinnies, these especially! If you haven't tried the Rockstar Jeggings yet, you most definitely should. Many of the washes are sold out online but I had a lot of luck finding them in stores so be sure to pop in to your local Old Navy - I picked up second dark wash pair for good measure as well, since I love my first pair so much! These jeggings are so soft and super stretchy, comfort to the max! Size up as they run small - I'm wearing a 16 here.  Be aware though, the regular (denim-colored) Rockstars are a different fabric (77% cotton, 21% polyester, 2% Spandex) than the colored ones (98% cotton, 2% spandex) making the fit different. I've found that the colored version are not as stretchy and more snug.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend :)

Bronze glow

Jacket: eShakti. Tank: Lane Bryant. Jeggings: Old Navy. Pumps & Ring: Nordstrom Rack. Necklace: H&M. Bracelets (from left): Brooklyn Flea, Mom's, a Brooklyn street fair, Forever21, purchased in Greece.

Do you like this jacket I picked up from eShakti?? I've been eyeing it up for a while and finally took the plunge a few weeks ago! The fabric is different than what I expected, I thought it'd be a thick cotton, but it's quite thin and almost a swishy sort of fabric...the sleeves hit below the elbows but I like my shorter so I rolled them for now; I'm planning to shorten the and perhaps take them in a bit as they're slightly baggy on me. All in all though, a really cute jacket - It'll be great as a dress topper!

If you want to snag it for yourself, you can still use code FFF0811 for $20 off until October 31st!

Did I tell you I have the best boyfriend ever?? How can you not love a man who surprises you at work with flowers and the like :D

Sweater Weather

IMG_6167IMG_6136IMG_6144IMG_6139IMG_6145

I really love this outfit!  I love this bright peach and purple together, it's such a fun and happy combo. I got these black jeggings off the F21+ sale rack for mucho cheap, and after taking in the waist a bit they fit like a dream. My nude pumps are the Bandolinos I wore to the wedding a few weeks ago; they're so fantastically comfortable that I wear them non stop! And this necklace is one of the reasons I love my local Syms so much - It's Rachel Roy and I scored it for $20!

IMG_6172IMG_6173IMG_6180IMG_6181IMG_6183

I'm off to Brooklyn to spend some time with the boy tonight (Υιασου, αγορι μου!), and partying with my sister on Saturday. Any big plans this weekend?

Goal

IMG_4003IMG_4009IMG_4018IMG_4012IMG_4021IMG_4046

Coming back from a long weekend is so hard, isn't it! I'm in vacation mode and I'm not ready to come back to work!! Especially with the beautiful summer weather we had all weekend, who could blame me for wanting to head to the beach instead of the office??

This wrap top is item numero uno from my latest ASOS order. If you're thinking of ordering this top, you should know that the wrap pieces are not attached to the shirt - so the pieces across my bust are not sewn down. This is good because you arrange then as high or low as you want, but if you're moving around a lot you'd have to keep fixing them. I was just at the office and supermarket so I didn't really have an issue with that. Same goes for the back, the wrap piece is not sewn down, but it's good in my opinion because you can pull the fabric higher up for more back coverage.  The top definitely emphasizes my bust, something I usually am not a fan of, but I still felt really comfortable and pretty wearing this top to work and running some errands. I think if I wear my hair down next time it won't be as emphasized. Speaking of hair, do you like my blogger bun? It's officially my I-didn't-have-time-to-wash-my-hair-this-morning style. I think it looks way more put together than a plain old ponytail!

Top: ASOS Curve
Jeggings: Old Navy
Sandals: Steve Madden
Bracelets: Mom's
Earrings, necklace and detachable pendant: Premier Designs
Ring: Vintage

The second piece I ordered from ASOS Curve was the cobalt blue Flippy Jersey Dress. It's very pretty, but I decided to return. On my figure, the high neckline combined with the shorter length was not flattering. One someone less busty, though, I think it'd be really cute!

Number three was the green Ruched Waist Shift Dress. This dress is absolutely beautiful, though it is a tiny bit snug as the fabric is chiffon and has no stretch. I decided I'm going to keep it though. Fitting into that dress for Panagias this summer is my weight loss goal. It's only a little tight so it's a very attainable goal! As of right now I'm down 3.2 lbs. Keep truckin'!

Do the polka

Ta da! So I may be a day late, but here they are, my Everybody, Everywear polka dots!

And look, I finally picked up a yellow cardigan which I've been dying for. This one is definitely on the mustard side so I think I'll still have my eyes open for a true, bright yellow one.

This ruffled tank is so cute under cardigans, though I've never worn it tied at the neck like this before. I quite like it! It made my jewelry choices easy because I didn't have to worry about a necklace. I chose these silver leafy pieces because yellow automatically makes me think of spring.

Best part? You totally can't tell that I spilled coffee alllllll over myself at work today! Sitting at my desk damp and smelling vaguely of french vanilla and milk was  not at all pleasant lol...good job, Ariana.

Polka dot tank: Old Navy
Cardigan: Target
Jeggings: Old Navy
Boots: Torrid
Bracelet: Unknown
Ring: NY and Co
Belt: NY and Co

I have this same tank in grey with coral spots but I'm still trying to figure out how to wear it. The challenge for me is that the V on these is low so I have to wear a tank underneath to keep the cleavage work appropriate, and I'm just having a hard time styling it with the color palette. I'm working on it though!

Have you guys checked out the rest of the Everybody, Everywear polka dot challenge participants?

Those blue and yellow purple hills

Ha! I didn't mean for this post title to be as inappropriately hilarious as it is, but it works!

Christmas shopping is dangerous. Such good sales and deals, for every present I bought for someone I ended up buying a present for myself as well...not that I'm complaining lol! This ruffled top from Macy's was one of my multiple Christmas gifts to myself. As soon as I saw it on the sale rack, the bright and funky print had me at hello. Today I paired it with my trusyt purple cardigan (it's been getting a lot of play lately, I think this is a sign I need more cardigans), but I love that there's so many colors to pull from...I would have loved to pair it with a yellow cardi if I had one!

FF1217ACC1

Doesn't the print sort of remind you of a butterfly wing? I also love the fact that it zips in the front, you all know how I feel about zippers! I do have some cons on this top though; It's not printed all way way around, the back side of this top is a  black stretchy jersey. I guess this is good for the fit of the shirt, because it doesn't slide around as much as a fully silky top normally would, but I do find it annoying because I feel like I can never wear this without a cardigan over it. Also, I had trouble keeping the front of the cardi in place because of the silky fabric; it would just sliiiiiide right on off the girls. That's why I belted it, to keep the cardi in place as well as giving it structure. Next time I think I'll have to play around with safety pinning the cardi right to the shirt. I just hate having to tug at my sweater all day to make sure the girls are covered!

Do you like my new bling bling watch? The wristband is rubber! This style is great because you get the perfect combo of the masculine (I like the large face with the different gauges, even if I don't know how to use them) and the feminine sparkle. I love pairing a big watch with lots of bracelets :) Both of these came from Syms, which, If I'm not mistaken, is owned by Filene's Basement. If you have a Syms in your area, it's worth a trip! They're like TJ Maxx except geared more towards business casual, and also much more organized. I find that the quality of the clothes they sell are generally better than what you find at TJ Maxx. They have a good plus section, too (at least mine does). I've gotten LOTS of great stuff from Syms, including an awesome pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarers yesterday for only $60!

Top: Macy's
Cardigan: TJ Maxx
Belt: Off some dress or other
Jeggings: Old Navy
Boots: Evans (on sale!)
Watch: Julia and James via Syms
Bangles: Syms
Ring: New York and Company

Welcome to some new faces :) Cid, of Cid Style File, Maria MM, and Heather!

Hope everyone's getting their holiday shopping done and staying warm! Stay tuned for a review and giveaway coming next week!
