Coaxing in spring

I know NJ isn't the only place that's been having some bonkers weather lately. We went from over 70 degrees one day to snow just a few days later! It's warmed up a touch since then but still chilly in the mid-forty range. I though maybe I'd help things along by giving mother nature some inspiration!

Amazingly, it seems I've never worn this cardigan on the blog, even though it's been in my cardi rotation for months. I love the slightly shorter length and puff sleeves, as well as the lower scoopneck.

 Add some chunky jewelry - thanks Nicole, for leaving this ring at mi casa, lol! I'm holding it hostage until you return :) - and I'm set to go. This outfit did double duty on Friday to the office, and then out to dinner that night with J and another couple. We went to eat at an Italian restaurant (I ordered the grilled shrimp and risotto with wild mushrooms, yum), then back to the couple's house for coffee and a rousing game of Cranium! Kathy and I were a pretty awesome team but the boys juuuust beat us by thismuch!

Kathy, who's about 6 months pregnant, was going on about how she wanted to find a little white beanie with little ears to put on the baby for photos, but couldn't find one. Clearly, I knew exactly where to look for that sort of thing: Etsy. Here are a few I found:

Flowers are a-bloomin'

Maybe not in my backyard, but they sure are a-bloomin' on this beautiful floral tank I scored at Kohl's last week!

I'm completely in love with the print as well as the colors of this LC Lauren Conrad tank. I have to say I was completely taken aback when I saw that this shirt was from Lauren's line when I picked it up! I grabbed the XL praying that it would fit, and lo and behold, it does! It's even a little roomy as you can see by my bra peeking out the top - woops! I'll have to safety pin the straps next time I wear this. But seriously, I'm so in love with this, it's such a feminine, flowy, happy top made in comfy jersey fabric, and I love the ruffle detail down the front. Oddly enough, Kohl's doesn't have this exact top on their site, but one that's very, very similar with small differences: The ruffle is a little different, it has an elasticized bottom, which mine does not have, and spaghetti straps (the straps on mine are at least and inch and a half think, very bra friendly.)

My other obsession of the moment is this amazing broken glass mosaic cuff I scored at Syms for only $12.99! I nearly died when I saw it out of the corner of my eye, it was screaming my name! And when I saw the pricetag? Forget it, I was sold. They had it in silver as well and I had to restrain myself - but if it's still there the next time I go back, I can't be responsible for my actions :)
