To answer your question...

Another great question came through my Formspring recently:
"I have always wondered if fashion bloggers like yourself every have blah days where you don't dress all coordinated and head for comfy clothes? If so, any ideas how to make comfy looks not look too bummy?"
Of course! Well, I do at least, I can't speak for every blogger, but we're all human! Everyone has days where they wish they could just throw on sweats and a tee and go about their business. Of course, this doesn't really fly in any office environment, even one as casual as mine. On those days I try to stay as comfortable as possible without looking like I rolled out of bed. Yesterday was one of those days, and this outfit was the result.

Top: Dorothy Perkins
Trousers: Forever21 (still available!)
Shoes: Forever21 (similar, in patent leatherette)
Belt: Target
Watch: Syms
Necklace: H&M
These trouser jeans from Forever 21 are super comfortable because of their relaxed fit. My top is acutally a tunic that usually hits mid-thigh, but I took advantage of the extra length and tucked it into the jeans, so I got more coverage in the midsection area than I would have tucking a normal shirt. These jeans rise higher than they look in the front; I pulled the belt down and pinned it in place so I'd get the look of a pair of low rise jeans without actually wearing a pair - these jeans hit at about my belly button in truth!
Because of the length of the pant I had to go with heels, but these are a very low pair and easy to walk in. If I had chosen skinnies instead I would have ditched the heel altogether and gone for a pair of flat sandals!
Of course, there are some days when even putting on jeans is too much. For days like this I usually go for the old standard: leggings, flats, and a tunic top (one that covers the bum!) - and I always make sure to add accessories. Even just a bracelet and a necklace can make it look like an outfit and not pajamas :) Hope this helps!
Oh, and stay tuned for giveaway #3 later today! It's from one of my favorite retailers :)

A scandal and Giveaway #2!
Not the best pictures I've ever taken, but I really loved this skirt I picked up at Target and wanted to share this outfit. I had a bit of a fail this morning, I really wanted to wear my yellow pumps but I could only find one and for the life of me couldn't find the other! Swear to god my bedroom has an appetite for shoes, I am forever trying to hunt down some shoe or other's pair. I also find this is the case with my washer machine/dryer - things go in and they never come out again.
Top: Macy's
Skirt: Target
Shoes: DSW
Watch: Syms
Bangles: Forever21
Necklace: New York and Company
You've seen this shirt a few times before, but never quite like this...
If you're wondering, the scandal is how short this skirt is! I may have been pushing it in the 'work appropriate' apparel department...like that ever stopped me!
On to the good stuff...
Giveaway #2, courtesy of amarie!
I came across amarie (or actually, she, Andrea, the brains behind the shop, came to me) a few years ago. Andrea was an alum of my sorority, and came back to the house to share her new business with us and host a purse party! I immediately fell in love with her large hobo tote in a beautiful gold snakeskin print, and knew I had to have it even on my college budget! I still have the bag years later - It's such a great size, I've used it as an overnight bag, for travelling, even as a book bag during school. Check out some of her designs!
Andrea's agreed to help me celebrate by offering a $25 gift certificate to amarie to one lucky reader!
To enter:
1. You must be a follower.

Formspring questions
"Hey Girl, love your blog! It's refreshing to see fashionista bloggers who have curves! Anyway, was wondering where you bra shop? I'm pretty well-endowed as well (38G), and have SUCH a difficult time finding good bras (and swimsuits!!) Any tips?"
I feel you!!! Bra and swimsuit shopping has always been the bane of my existence. A few years ago I went WOB Lingerie, a boutique near me and got professionally measured for a good bra. Turned out I'm also a 38G! They recommended the Wacoal Elegance Hidden Underwire Bra. I've been wearing this bra style for YEARS now and have never looked back. In my opinion, there is no better fitting, more flattering, or more comfortable bra for everyday wear than this one. Yes, it's on the more expensive side, but for something you'll wear constantly it's worth the price. Check it out here (some colors are on sale too, score!)
I've had good luck with swimsuits at Land's End this year. I purchased the Plus Size Beach Living Sweetheart Tunic Swimsuit Top in the 20W and it fits great and is very comfortable and supportive in the bust and it had underwire. And I love the little ruffle on the bottom! Same goes for the Plus Size Beach Living Dot Scoop Tankini Swimsuit Top. I bought it in the navy polka dot along with the solid navy Plus Size Beach Living Shirred Mini SwimMini. Hope this helps!

Formspring questions
I'm so excited that a few of you have started asking questions on my Formspring! Here are two that I received recently...
"Im a girl that doesnt have much of a fashion sence or much money, what staples do I need and how do I put outfits together?"
Well, in my opinion, some staples every girl should have in her closet are:
A great pair of jeans
A curve skimming pencil skirt
A pair of wide-leg trousers
A pair of black pumps
A v-neck white tee
A fitted blazer
A pair of metallic flats
A little black dress
A few signature pieces of jewelry - a necklace, a watch, a ring, a pair of earrings
These for me are the very very basic foundations of any wardrobe. They can be remixed endlessly as you add more and more pieces to your collection. A white tee can be paired with any of your bottoms, layered under a dress, under a blazer, and can be dressed up or down with accessories. Same with a blazer, it can dress up a pair of jeans or take you to the office when it's paired with a skirt or over a dress. Once you've got the basics, it's just a matter of adding pieces that express your personality!
For the girl on a budget, I definitely recommend checking out Forever21. Funky and very affordable, they have tons and tons of options in straight and plus sizes that will help you find your style!
"Hi Ariana, I'm loving all your outfits! Just wondering if you could give me a bit of guidance... I want to buy the Target dress in today's post. I wear a 14/16 (16 in jeans) at Lane Bryant -- any idea what size I should order from Target? M?"
Hi! So, the waist of the dress is elastic and the skirt is very free, so you should consider your bust most when you're ordering this dress. My bust is 47" and the XXL fits me perfectly with no gaping or hanging. If your bust is average I'd say XL would be great for you, or even a L if your bust is smaller!
Have a question? Ask away!

Eaten alive
First of all, I want to say a GIANT thank you to all of my wonderful readers! I hit 200 followers this week on Google Friend Connect, and I couldn't be more excited! I have the Chrdesigns giveaway going on right now (have you entered?), but I am planning another big one (or perhaps multiple smaller ones!) next week! Stay tuned!
These pics are from a day or two ago, and it wasn't until I sat down to write this that I realize I forgot to take a pic of my favorite part of this outfit! This top not only had a deep scoop in the front (my favorite sort of neckline), it's also got an even deeper scoop in the back! I love a low cut back, it's a sexy way to show some skin without being obscene (especially since I wore this to work!)
Could my legs be whiter?? I'm pretty sure they glow in the dark! And now they are COVERED in mosquito bites from standing in the grass for ootd pics. Grr!
I got these shoes last week from H&M - can we say buyer's remorse?? They're so cute on but let me tell you, they are UNCOMFORTABLE. tight in the front but too loose in the back, so my feet squish forward and the front cut of circulation to my toes, while the back of my heels slip out while I walk, making these pretty much unwearable. Good thing I picked up these adorable nude wedges from ideeli for $6 (using some credits I had)!! I hope they fit better than this unfortunate pair!
Top: Old Navy
Skirt: Need to check on that, I've had it for years!
Wedges: H&M
Necklace: F21 (sold out online)
Ring: Vintage
Made another fantastic recipe off of Skinnytaste this week...this tasty chili was lunch and dinner for me for two days and I enjoyed every bite! Definitely recommended!
WW progress: This week's weight in, -3lbs! Total loss: -7.4lb.

I got nothing.
Well, hi! Hope you're all having a good week so far. Happy hump day as they say (though that phrase always bring something much more lurid to my mind than simply Wednesday...)! You may have seen me in this dress over on Kim's blog in one of her Full Figured Fashion Week recap posts. We met up on Saturday for lunch and a bit of shopping at Times Square's huge Forever21. I loved this simple outfit so much, I had to recycle it for work and a mini date on Monday!
Would you believe I got this dress for a steal at Target? It's the printed version of the green dress I've seen bloggers like Kendi and Liz looking adorable in. Can I say, if you are well endowed like I am, you should be running to Target to pick this baby up. Why are you still here?? But really, this sort of surplice neckline usually does not work for me - at the very least I'm always having to wear tanks underneath to keep it PG. The neckline on this dress is cut a little higher though, and as a result becomes the perfect v-neck! I'm contemplating snatching up the green version as well! I'm wearing an XXL, which is sold out online, but if you're not as busty as I am you'll have no problem with a smaller size :)
By the way, did you enter my Chrdesigns Giveaway??

Chrdesigns Giveaway!
Have you noticed the pretty little gold necklace I've been wearing in a bunch of my ootd's lately?
I was on the hunt for a delicate everyday gold necklace, and the Bicone necklace courtesy of Chrdesigns fit the bill perfectly! Click the photos of me or links above to see how I styled my necklace :)
Cindy Roth, the brains behind Chrdesigns, has a way of making jewelry that is unique and eclectic, while still feminine.
