Top: H&M
Jeans: Forever 21+
Flats: Payless
Ring: ASOS
Bangle: borrowed
Necklace: BaysideGems
The ruffled sleeves stand on their own - it'd be a shame to cover up the shoulders with a cardigan or blazer! I paired the top with my usually skinnies, my X ring, a bangle, and these funky tweed flats I picked up at Payless last year. And I'm sure you noticed my awesome green pendant!
This is the Lucious Lime Glass Pendant handmade and kindly sent to me by Stephanie of BaysideGems. Stephanie's history of working with glass is a long one; she started making stained glass for landscape and home decor over ten years ago before taking some classes and learning how to work with fused glass about two years ago. Steph's studio is on the Delaware bay and she draws a lot of her inspiration for pieces from the beautiful sunrises and sunsets there.
How pretty is this pendant! I love the channel through the top of the glass and how you can see the chain through it. Also loving the shimmery bits embedded in here. The great thing about this pendant is that the channel is wide enough to accommodate a variety of chains, ribbons, cords, or anything else you could want to hang it from.
And they came packaged so adorably!
What's that you say? You're wondering about the second box?
Lucky you! Steph was kind enough to send along this beautiful Red White and Blue Mod Cocktail Ring as well to give away! The ring is adjustable and can fit any size :)

That top is really pretty. I think you're right when you say that somedays it is just easier to wear a great statement piece rather than try and coordinate a whole outfit. You look great!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the ruffles on your shoulders and that gorgeous necklace!

I love the sleeves on that top. The plaid flats are also a great finishing touch!
ReplyDeleteI do love details on plain blouses or tops, especially frills and ruffles :) I've seen H&M coming up with so many cute tops with details that I yearn to have but of course, there's no H&M where I am at (yet) and H&M doesn't ship to Singapore so FML!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit. I adore t-shirts that have a little detail on it but that makes the outfit. The necklace and ring are just lovely!

That ring is beautiful. On lazy days I wear sweats, nothing to take a picture of, LOL! But if I have to, I'll pick my high waisted jeans from Beth Ditto. They're so comfy and always look representative without being overdressed.
